At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business, our students study with instructors who have experience in the field. Many instructors in our Associate in Criminal Justice program teach part-time while working full-time in corrections, the courts or law enforcement. Criminal Justice Faculty Profiles
Dominic Anyanwu, MSB St. Cloud
Dominic earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from NorthEast Missouri State University (1987);
an M.S. in Criminology from Indiana State University, Terre Haute Indiana (1997); is working toward a PhD in Organizational Management from North Central University-Arizona; and is a licensed private investigator and social worker.
His professional background includes employment (2004 to present) as Assistant Superintendent of Boys Totem Town; (1989-2004) Correctional Counselor, Parole Officer, Program Director-Indiana Department of Corrections; and (1996-2003) teacher and presenter in criminal justice courses, wraparound program, re-entry program in universities and correctional facilities.
Wendell L. Daluge, MSB St. Cloud
Wendell was the Police Chief for the City of Richmond until December, 2005. He also served as a police officer in the communities of Richmond, Cold Spring, St. Joseph and St. Cloud. He is also Director/Chief Instructor for Law Enforcement Anti-Drug School.
His academic credentials include an Associate of Arts in Military Science in Military Science and a Bachelor of Elective Studies in Criminal Justice/Military Science from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN (1996); Law Enforcement Skills, Alexandria Technical College, Alexandria, MN (1996); a 400-hour internship with St. Cloud Police Department, observing patrol, administrative and management procedures; and Medical Assistant training from Minnesota Medical Institute, Minneapolis, MN (1975).
His training and accreditations include: Weapons Instructor, Marksmanship instructor, Sniper/Counter-Sniper, Desert certified and Winter Operations Instructor, Self Defense/Use of Force Instructor, First Responder Qualified, F.A.T.S. Instructor, Tactical Instructor-Entry Team, Tactical Instructor-High Risk Warrant, RMS computer systems, Vision mobile computer systems and Inform systems.
Wendell is currently a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve, in the position of Research and Development Officer, ARPERCEN, Armor Branch. He has commanded units from platoon to battalion size, and is branch-qualified in armor, cavalry, military intelligence, quartermaster and logistics. He was Chief Instructor of Tactics Branch and Marksmanship Branch and later became Director of the Law Enforcement Anti-Drug School for Military support activities. He currently has a SECRET security clearance for the military.
In civilian life, Wendell was been a licensed police officer in the state of Minnesota from 1996 through 2005, for several departments in various-sized communities. Most recently, until his retirement, he was a Chief of Police. He has maintained POST accreditation classes and his license requirements are current. He also worked independently as a process server for the courts system and attorneys in a seven county area, in security as a supervisor for a regional mall, and as a retail manager in the automotive repair market.
Richard Dusterhoft, J.D. – Adjunct Criminal Justice Faculty Member
Mr. Dusterhoft is a prosecutor with the Ramsey County Attorney's Office. He is currently assigned to the Gangs and Guns Unit, which handles prosecution of both adult and juvenile cases involving criminal gangs, offenses committed by gang members, felony weapons offenses and offenses where firearms were involved. His responsibilities include case review and charging, post-charge investigation, pretrial and evidentiary hearings, witness and trial preparation, plea negotiation, trial, sentencing, post-conviction motions and appeals.
Prior to law school, he worked for the Minnesota Department of Corrections as a correctional officer and before that in the private security industry. Mr. Dusterhoft has taught numerous classes for police officer associations, corrections associations, and other groups on the subjects of gangs, investigations, firearm crimes and offenses, search and seizure, gunshot residue, sex crimes. He also serves as a guest instructor at Concordia and Metro State Universities.
John France, Associate Dean of Criminal Justice
John France joined Globe University/Minnesota School of Business as Criminal Justice Program Director in 2008, following 27 1/2 years of law enforcement and corrections work for Hennepin County, in positions ranging from deputy to shift commander. Previous criminal justice experience included stints as a corrections officer, park ranger, and military police officer.
John has a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Bethel College as well as A.A. and B.A. degrees from Anoka Ramsey Community College and Metropolitan State University respectively. He has residential and online teaching experience in the criminal justice programs at Brown College and University of Phoenix and served on the GU/MSB criminal justice advisory board from 2006-2008.
Craig C. Gerdes, MSB-Blaine
Craig joined the MSB/GU Criminal Justice Faculty in the summer quarter of 2008. He is a retired police officer with 33 years of experience, including Chief of Plymouth Police Department, Plymouth Minnesota, from 1992 –2004. Craig started his police work in Bloomington Minnesota in 1971 and worked as a patrol officer, detective/investigator, patrol sergeant, emergency manager, professional standards commander and patrol commander/lieutenant until leaving for the Plymouth job.
He is also a 20-year veteran of the Bloomington Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter, captain, district chief, and 1st deputy chief of training.
Craig served as a member and chair of the Minnesota Police Officer Standards & Training Board (POST). He is a member and past president of the Hennepin County Chiefs Association, member of Minnesota Chiefs of Police, former member of the International Chiefs of Police, former member of the American Polygraph Association, and a member of International Association of Fire Service Instructors.
In addition to earning Associate of Applied Science in Law Enforcement and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice degrees. Craig has attended the Senior Management Institute for Police, Kennedy School of Government i Boston, The FBI National Academy (206) Quantico Virginia and The National Fire Academy, Emmetsburg, Maryland.
Craig is married with three children: Patty, Tom and Beth. Beth is a full time instructor in the Veterinary Technician program, MSB/GU Blaine. In addition to teaching Craig has a love of music and sings in his Church Choir and the Apollo Male Chorus.
Scott Gunem, J.D., Globe Eau Claire
Scott has a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He has been admitted to the Nebraska Supreme Court (1999), the United States District Court, Nebraska (1999),
and is an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Nebraska.
As a member of Criminal Appellate Division, he has represented the State of Nebraska and various public officials in criminal and civil appeals. As a senior attorney editor for West, a ThomsonReuters company, he was a member of the State Cases Team and drafted editorial enhancements for the Westlaw database, state reporters, and legal bulletins.
In addition to teaching in the Globe University Criminal Justice program, he has been a lecturer for the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, an assistant professor at Mount Senario College, and an instructor at Atsugi (Japan) Junior College.
Scott Rudeen, Ph.D. (ABD) – Adjunct Faculty Member, MSB Online
Mr. Rudeen is a State Trooper with the Minnesota State Patrol. He is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment on state freeways as well as enforcing traffic and criminal statutes. He also conducts investigations regarding criminal vehicular operation, assaults, hit and runs, driving while intoxicated, domestic assaults, weapons violations and narcotic interdiction. Previous experience includes work as a Deputy Sheriff for Hennepin County where Mr. Rudeen provided police services in the Adult Detention Center and County Courthouse. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in youth violence with an anticipated completion date of next fall.
Sandi Sostak, MSB St. Cloud
Ms. Sostak began her career in corrections in 1990 at the Minnesota Department of Corrections, completing pre-sentence investigations. She also worked at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud conducting a pre-release program. In 1994, she joined Stearns County Community Corrections as a corrections agent. She was promoted to supervisor in 1997 for adult supervision dealing with medium- and high-risk offenders, as well as a specialized sex offender unit. Sandi returned to the Minnesota Department of Corrections in 2005 where she is currently employed as a career corrections agent supervising a specialized caseload of sex offenders.
Sandi completed her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Studies at St. Cloud State University in 1994 and completed a second major in Public Safety Executive Leadership in 2003. She taught in the areas of community corrections and report writing as an adjunct faculty member with St. Cloud State University. She continues to teach criminal justice classes at Minnesota School of Business and Rasmussen Business College. In addition, she is a certified trainer for the Level of Service Inventory – Revised (LSI-R) and a trained facilitator for the National Institute of Corrections cognitive behavioral change program.
