At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business, instructors in online paralegal courses are attorneys and experienced paralegals. You will be learning practical skills such as legal research and business communications from professionals and will have the opportunity to begin building a network of contacts in the legal industry while you complete your college degree.
As an online student you will use the distance learning system Blackboard to download lessons, discuss projects with fellow students and work through realistic problems with your instructors. Every class will is designed to provide you with the legal knowledge and professional skills employers look for when hiring a legal assistant/paralegal.
You will study include criminal law, administrative law, probate, real estate, litigation and more. A distinctive element of each on-campus and online paralegal degree program is the internship (practicum). As you near the end of your program, you will be able to request placement in an internship that focuses on a certain area of law.
