Requirements for the Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at GU/MSB are designed to provide rigorous technical training and a solid background in business and the liberal arts. Our students interact with IT instructors who have extensive and impressive industry experience, and provide valuable insight into professional issues. IT courses provide rigorous training in computer programming, database design, networking, security and other technical topics. Students will be prepared for a variety of industry certifications.

Business courses: Students are also required to take 32 credits of business and general electives. Business electives are encouraged in order to provide students with a sound contextual background for careers in IT and other industries.

Liberal arts: According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 92% of information technology professionals work outside of the IT industry. Students in the bachelor’s degree program are required to complete a minimum of 55 credits in liberal arts, providing the global perspective to apply their technical training in a wide range of situations.
