Nursing Seminars: Are You Ready for a Nursing Program?

Thank you for your interest in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program offered at Minnesota School of Business/Globe University in Richfield, MN.

We are currently accepting applications to our adult  BSN program (for high school graduates) and to our high-school BSN program (for high school seniors). For more information about our nursing programs, call 1-877-655-7676.

If you are interested in applying to the BSN Program, please attend an informational nursing seminar (dates listed below). The session will cover admission criteria (summarized at the bottom of this page), program expectations and graduation requirements. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program, BSN nursing and Globe University/Minnesota School of Business.

Bachelor’s in nursing: minimum admission requirements

Applicants who have taken college-level coursework must have:

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or greater for all college-level coursework taken.
  • Official transcripts from all institutions attended.
  • Passed all general education courses required for the Nursing degree program with a letter grade of C or better.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better maintained from time of acceptance to the program to the start of first quarter nursing courses.
  • Completed within the last five years, with a grade of C or better, high school or college-level general biology, or the equivalent, with a lab; and high school or college-level general chemistry, or the equivalent, with a lab.

Applicants with a high school diploma must have:

  • A minimum high school class rank at the 60th percentile or minimum GED score at the 60th percentile.
  • Completed within the last five years, with a grade of C or better, high school or college-level general biology, or the equivalent, with a lab; and high school or college-level general chemistry, or the equivalent, with a lab. A copy of a high school transcript and course syllabus for each class is required.

All applicants must show proof of meeting nursing assistant competency by documentation of one of the following:

  • Completion within the last five years, with a passing grade, of a federally approved nursing assistant (NA) class.
  • Experience within the last five years as a nursing assistant, with documentation of experience on letterhead from the employer, including a detailed job description that verifies skills.
  • A passing grade on the Nursing Assistant Test-Out exam within the last five years.
  • Current listing on the Nursing Assistant Registry in Minnesota.
