AAS in medical assistant program highlights
The 21-month medical assistant associate degree program provides rigorous training in medical procedures and principles. In addition to patient care and medical office procedures, that technical training includes medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, radiography, hematology, immunology and microbiology.
In the associate degree program, you will also choose courses in humanities, social science, natural science and communications, general education that prepares you to function well in diverse settings. Many employers prefer a job applicant or candidate for promotion with a college degree.
