Associate or diploma – which massage therapy program is right for you?
The GU/MSB Massage Therapy Advisory Board, composed of professional therapists, clinic managers and spa owners, oversees our programs and ensures students receive the skills training employers and clients want. We offer two college programs in massage therapy, each designed to help students achieve their specific professional goals. We also provide continuing education training in advanced massage therapy techniques. Below are program summaries. Contact us for detailed information.

Associate in Applied Science in Massage Therapy (A.A.S.) is a two-year program. The 60-credit core requirements include fundamental and advanced training in massage techniques. Students also complete 30 credits in liberal arts.

Massage Therapy Diploma students complete 48 credits in massage techniques and related training, and at graduation are qualified for entry-level positions as massage therapists.

Experienced massage therapists are welcome to enroll in single courses and earn continuing education credits (CECs) in advanced modalities.
Hands-on training in massage techniques
At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business , you will experience hands-on training in fundamental and advanced massage techniques/modalities, including Swedish massage, Hot Stone massage, Thai massage and Myofascial Release. Your instructors will be professionals with extensive experience in the field, and your campus will have an on-site massage room with a supply (no charge) of massage tables, linens, oils and lotions. You will treat external clients in on-campus clinicals before you even begin your externship.
Massage therapy certification training and licensing exam preparation
Associate and diploma programs prepare students for massage therapy certification exams. Program graduates are ready for the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETM) certification exam and the Federation of States Massage Therapy Board (FSMTB) MBLEx licensing exam; and are eligible for membership in the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

We offer massage therapy programs at campuses in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul area locations: Blaine, Brooklyn Center, Plymouth, Woodbury and Shakopee), as well as in Fargo-Moorhead, Rochester and St. Cloud, Minnesota; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Business Degrees
Globe University and Minnesota School of Business are members of the Globe Education Network.
