The Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness Specialist is offered on campus and online. This 4-year degree prepares personal trainers, managers and other industry professionals to provide world-class services. In addition to fundamental personal trainer education, a student completes either a management or advanced fitness training focus.
Focus on exercise science: bachelor's degree electives
A student who chooses advanced exercise science courses for the bachelor's may prepare for two highly regarded certifications: Resistance Training Specialist and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Jumpstart™. This hands-on training is provided in seminars offered at some campuses and other U.S. locations.
Focus on fitness industry management: business electives
Choose a track that will prepare you to advance in any organization or manage your own business. Studies in sales and marketing, organizational behavior, small business management, supervisory management, human resources and service marketing wil add flexibility to your resume.
