The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Digital Video and Media Production program at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business provides the advanced artistic and technical skills required to succeed in this challenging field.The program is offered at our Edina, Minnesota, studios.

BFA Program highlights

The BFA program encompasses all the multimedia production training offered in the associate program while offering advanced instruction in digital film. A student will produce a professional-quality portfolio/reel by graduation. Courses are offered year-round, allowing a full-time student to accelerate the 4-year program and earn the degree in 3 years.

Other program highlights include the following:

  • Digital video editing Final Cut Pro: A great story can be made even greater if it is complemented with savvy editing. These courses train you on two of the industry standard non-linear editing systems. You will learn the software and technical skills to be a successful editor, plus cutting-edge editing techniques that will give you the results you want.
  • Video lighting and color: What is it that makes an image captivating? There are many factors involved, but one of the most important is lighting. This course nurtures strong lighting skills and practical color theory. It emphasizes studio and field environments and teaches fundamentally sound techniques as well as real-world problem solving.
  • Studies including corporate production, commercial production, short and feature narrative digital film making, preproduction, production, postproduction, graphic animation, web distribution, and business and management skills for the creative industry.
