Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Careers in accounting

An investment in a bachelor’s degree in accounting pays off. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2008-09 states, “Most accountant and auditor positions require at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.” The Handbook also states that growth in the field is expected to remain stronger than average.

Graduates of the four-year accounting program at GU/MSB are prepared for careers in private, public and governmental accounting, and for positions in general ledger, payroll, financial analysis, auditing, tax preparation and related areas.
