Military Benefits: Veterans

Military student services staff at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB) assist students with Veterans Educational Benefits issues. Below are instructions on how to get started.

If you have a question about an application for GI Benefits, or would like help in selecting a college program that optimizes the value of your military training, feel free at any time to call our Military Student Services Department toll-free: 1-866-342-3505 or e-mail department staff at: veterans@globeuniversity.edu. It is our mission to help you accomplish your educational goals.

Step 1 - Apply for Admission into the Program

• Complete an online application or request an undergraduate application or a graduate application and mail it in to the address below. Please be sure to check and fill in the military veteran information under the military information portion of the application.

Step 2 - Request Official Military Transcript for Evaluation

To request an official evaluation of your military training for college credit, please have your official transcripts sent directly to:

Official military transcripts may be requested online by clicking on the applicable link below.

Army: AARTS 
Marines: MCI 
Air Force: CCAF 
Coast Guard: CGI 

Department of Defense:

Defense Acquisition University (DAU) 
Defense Language Institute (DLI) 

 Official CLEP/DANTES transcripts may be sent in for evaluation.

Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES) tests DSST Examinations 

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests CLEP Examinations 

Step 3 - Request Official Civilian Transcripts

• Request official transcripts from any colleges or universities attended. Note: At least one course must be completed through GU/MSB before a student can receive an official GU/MSB transcript.

Step 4 – Apply for Veteran Affairs (VA) Benefits (if eligible)

• If eligible for VA benefits (GI Bill or VA Vocational Rehabilitation), please go to the VA Benefits/GI Bill page for a step-by-step VA benefit guide. It is recommended that paperwork be submitted during the application process and before enrollment in courses to allow time for paperwork to be processed. 

Step 5 – If applying for Financial Aid
