Flexibility for Adult Learners

What do adult learners need to fit college in to their lives? Full-time and part-time class options? Distance learning? College credit for work experience?

We respect the adult learner

An adult learner is a powerful contributor to the college classroom. At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB), we value the experience of our non-traditional students and shape our programs to see that adult learners receive maximum benefit from their professional accomplishments.  We provide the support they need to succeed.  Contact us to learn more.

College credit for work experience

Have you received practical training on the job? Adult learners at GU/MSB routinely take advantage of the opportunity to receive college credit for work experience towards MBA degrees, bachelor’s and associate degrees. Credit applies to programs in information technology, certification in massage therapy and a wide variety of other areas. When meeting with your admissions counselor, be sure to ask about ways in which your on-the-job experience can be applied to a degree or diploma program.

Have you been away from the classroom for a while?

If it has been a while since you cracked a book, you might be concerned about returning to the classroom. Globe University/Minnesota School of Business campuses provide tutoring and study support to non-traditional students. Whether you are a returning student or have never attended college, we will help you polish up your study skills, get through that math or science class, and turn in a term paper to be proud of.

Do you have time for college? Try evening, online or part-time

Do you want to finish a bachelor’s degree in three years? Will you be squeezing part-time school into your schedule along with work? At GU/MSB we offer flexible options, including online degree programs, part-time and accelerated schedules, and classes at a number of locations, including the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Greater Minnesota, Fargo, ND, and Sioux Falls, SD.

Learn in small classes, work with professionals

Instructors at GU/MSB are experienced professionals, and know what employers expect. They’ll give you practical instruction and hands-on experience. You will work in small classes where you can get all the help you need.

A curriculum focused on job training

At GU/MSB we partner with local business industries to see that our curriculum provides career training that makes our students stand apart from the crowd.

Help with financial aid

A financial aid advisor will be happy to meet with you to find out which scholarships and loans you qualify for, find a payment plan that fits your lifestyle, and walk you through the application process.

Career placement services

While you are a student and after graduation, our career services department will provide resume and job search support.

Take the first step contact an admissions representative

If you’re ready to make the next step toward your goals, but not sure what that step is, we suggest you contact us and speak with one of our admissions representatives. Arrange a tour of a campus, get a feel for the programs we offer, and ask questions. We offer classes online and have locations in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul), St. Cloud, Rochester and Moorhead, MN; Sioux Falls, SD; and Fargo, ND.
