Posted by on February 17, 2016

Jennifer Lynn BensonJennifer Benson is one of the full-time veterinary technology instructors at the Minnesota School of Business (MSB) – Lakeville Campus. She brings a plethora of professional experience from working in the field to her classroom teaching.  Having graduated from Argosy University in 2008, Jennifer worked in a variety of fast-paced small animal hospitals as well as a privately-owned clinic.  In addition to teaching classes like Hematology on campus, Jennifer works as a technician at a poison control call center.

When asked about her hobbies outside of work, Jen says, “I have been an expressive artist since I was very young.  I enjoy working with different mediums but excel with large scale abstract paintings.”

Her passion for animals shines through her teaching methods and her commitment to student education.

Her advice to current students is simple: “Keep going! You have already battled the beginning and conquered all of the obstacles to get into school.  All you need to do now is stay focused and prepare for the final steps!”

She also uses the poetry of William Arthur Ward as inspiration: “Believe while others are doubting. Plan while others are playing.  Study while others are sleeping.  Decide while others are delaying.”
