Recently, newly elected Minnesota State Representative Jon Applebaum (DFL – District 44B) accepted our invitation to tour Minnesota School of Business-Plymouth (MSB) and Minnesota School of Cosmetology-Plymouth (MSC).
The first part of the tour highlighted the successes of the students and graduates in the veterinary technology, massage therapy, business and exercise science programs that MSB-Plymouth has to offer.
“It was encouraging to learn about so many of the incredible things that MSB graduates have accomplished,” Rep. Applebaum said.
The second part included a tour of MSC, concluding with a spa manicure from current cosmetology student Abby Resch. Overall, the tour highlighted many of the hands-on practices that makes Minnesota School of Business and Minnesota School of Cosmetology so popular with students.
“I experienced firsthand, pun intended, the top-quality instruction that students receive at MSC,” stated Rep. Applebaum.
Campus Director Elaine Vandenburgh said, “I’m pleased to say that Representative Applebaum, through his supportive comments, is a proponent of the type of education that we provide. My hope is that those who take the time to visit our school can experience the many inspirational student and graduate successes.”
Rep. Applebaum grew up in the area and graduated from Hopkins High School. He attended Vanderbilt University and received a degree in political science and went on to earn his law degree from University of Minnesota. Making post-high school education more affordable is a top priority for Rep. Applebaum.
