Late last year, Minnesota School of Business-Richfield’s (MSB) very own Business Program Chair, Jason Kriegel, was selected to sit on the Richfield Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Board of Directors! Also selected were Kristie Beauchaine of Candlewood Suites and Colleen Nagle of Knight Barry Title, Inc.
Laura Barrett, 2014 Board chair had this to say: “On behalf of the Richfield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, we are very pleased to welcome Jason, Kristie and Colleen to the Board of Directors. They all have extensive expertise serving in their careers and we are very pleased that they have generously offered to share their expertise in hospitality, sales, business development, marketing and education with us.”
Angie Schaefbauer, chamber president added, “All of the candidates are eager to get started serving on the board. They have wonderful qualifications and will bring their new perspective to the chamber. Their commitment to further the chamber’s mission of ‘connecting businesses for a prosperous community’ will help us ensure the best utilization of our constituents’ involvement with the chamber. We are thrilled to have them on the board!”
As a board member, Jason will be involved in the chamber’s community outreach efforts in an effort to forge new business partnerships. “I’m super excited about it,” Jason said. “I’m ecstatic to be more involved with Richfield. My main focus is to build healthy, long-lasting relationships with the chamber and our school,” he added.
In addition to his chamber duties, Jason was also promoted to Executive Business Program Chair for all Globe Education Network schools across Minnesota and South Dakota. That’s a total of 12 colleges! Now, Jason will oversee the entire business program for each of these locations. He will be responsible for training and developing new program chairs, as well as having input on building and shaping the business program curriculum. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s exciting,” Jason said.
MSB’s Executive Dean of Education Miriam Williams had this to say about Jason’s new role: “It’s kind of a big deal for our campus. Jason will have the chance to affect the curriculum and how it is shaped across the schools. It’s kind of a big deal for our students too. Jason is so well connected in his field and we know what employers want because Jason is always talking to them.”
Congratulations on your exciting new ventures, Jason! MSB is very proud of your devotion to our Richfield campus and community!
