Congratulations to our spotlighted employees:
Faculty of the Year: Richard Heller, adjunct accounting instructor.
Richard continues to showcase the impact an invested educator can have on students. He works diligently to explain difficult accounting concepts until he ensures every student in his class understands the material. Richard consistently makes himself available outside of class to provide one-on-one tutoring for students – even if it means meeting up with them on weekends and/or days that he is typically off campus.
In addition to being an engaged educator, Richard is a true team player. He is the first one to volunteer to substitute for a class or help out at a student event. Thank you, Richard, for all that you do for our campus and our students!
Staff of the Year: Kendra Saal, Dean of Nursing.
Kendra has been instrumental in building positive and collaborative relationships between the nursing program and other departments on campus. She successfully balances her commitments to student success with supporting the nursing faculty. Kendra leads with compassion, professionalism and a passion for education, modeling these qualities for students and staff/faculty.
Kendra stepped into a leadership role during a difficult time and tackled each challenge with grace and enthusiasm. She has embraced additional responsibilities and does what needs to be done to ensure students have a positive experience – even if it means teaching until 10:00 PM and getting up at 4:00 AM to supervise students at a clinical site! MSB thanks you, Kendra, for your leadership and positivity! We appreciate you!
