Dozens of representatives from businesses in the Waite Park, Minn., community gathered at the Minnesota School of Business-St. Cloud campus on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, for its monthly Waite Park Chamber meeting. The lunch and networking event hosted by MSB-St. Cloud kicked off celebrations for its 10th anniversary.
“We couldn’t have done it without the support from the community over the last decade,” said Jim Beck, campus director at Minnesota School of Business-St. Cloud as he welcomed everyone to the event. “The support from our business partners has been a big part of our success, and we want to show our appreciation and celebrate with you.”
Chamber members enjoyed the sunny afternoon with a barbeque lunch, lawn games, karaoke and an inflatable boxing ring. The college has been an integral part of the community by providing career-focused education, as well as completing applied learning and community service products in the St. Cloud area for the last 10 years. The Chamber also acknowledged that MSB has produced successful graduates, many of whom are now employed by their businesses.
“Minnesota School of Business does a lot for our community, and the staff and students are great,” said Chamber committee member Tim Schmidt of Rejuv medical.
The campus also invited students, alumni, business partners and community members to celebrate later that night with an open house. KCLD radio broadcasted live from the event, which featured food, games and prizes.
