The drizzling rain on August 2, 2014, didn’t stop it from being a fun-filled Saturday night at the ball park as thousands of fans packed the bleachers at Midway Stadium in St. Paul. Among the crowd were military students, graduates, staff and their families from Globe University and Minnesota School of Business. They had the opportunity to represent the colleges at Globe University and Minnesota School of Business’ Family & Fun Nights with the Saint Paul Saints by singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh-inning stretch.

“I hope I remember the words!” said Mike Hughes, director of military services for Globe University and Minnesota School of Business, as the group got ready to head down to the announcer’s area.

Hughes, along with students Nathan Zolin, Josh Ambuehl, Matt Castillo and Jamie Thayer did indeed remember the words to the classic tune as they shared the microphone and energetically led the entire stadium in song.

Peanuts and Cracker Jack were on hand as the crowd sang along and “root, root, rooted” for the home team, who defeated the Wichita Wingnuts with a score of 7-9 in an exciting night at the field. The next Globe University and Minnesota School of Business designated Family & Fun Nights are Sunday Aug. 10 and Sunday Aug. 17.
