Recently, Minnesota School of Business-Blaine (MSB) faculty and staff teamed up for over 100 hours of community service hours during our annual Community Service Day, which is celebrated across the Globe Education Network and includes all schools in the consortium. Blaine faculty and staff illustrated our beloved “We Care” philosophy by dividing volunteer time and spirit between the Blaine Triathlon set up, a three-year relationship, and the campus’s annual Healthy Living Day.
Healthy Living Day targets educational services, opportunities and community resources which support a healthier lifestyle beyond eating right and exercising. The Blaine campus sought exhibitors to present on financial well-being, energy work, the medicinal and healing benefits of essential oils, and more.
In total, nine community members donated their time to host one-hour demonstration and informational sessions which were free to the community. All those in attendance stated they felt more educated and thoroughly enjoyed the sessions provided. From this event, the Blaine campus was able to foster new relationships with community partners and seek opportunities to further collaborate with Anoka County on transportation and social media applied learning topics—another cornerstone of who we are.
