Recently, massage therapy program student, Richelle Meister, received a great Christmas gift. She learned that she had won a $500 scholarship that she applied for earlier in the quarter from Massage Envy. For Meister, it is an award that will help out tremendously.
To apply, Minnesota School of Business-Elk River students were asked to write an essay about why they wanted to become massage therapists. Meister said the essay was very easy for her to write. She has been inspired by her instructor, Celina McKenzie, who has taught her so much over the past six months and reinforced her decision to pursue massage.
McKenzie expressed her own excitement for Meister winning the award saying, “There are so many deserving students, but Richelle is one of those natural learners who strives to help others. I know she’ll take her education to the fullest potential. For that reason, I can’t think of any other students that deserves it more.”
Meister is very excited and appreciative of the award she received from Massage Envy. She plans to use it to help pay her student loans. And since Minnesota School of Business offers a scholarship matching program, Meister has the opportunity to double her award.
