The leaves may be falling, but excitement is soaring as iPad® tablets are distributed to students at Minnesota School of Business-Elk River!
The first day of October started a new month, and it also marked the start of a new iPad initiative at Minnesota School of Business-Elk River (MSB). Excitement was felt throughout the campus as students picked up their new iPad tablets that will replace the traditional armful of textbooks. The two-day event consisted of the distribution of iPads, training opportunities, refreshments, and drawings for some exceptional iPad accessories.
The new Educational User Experience initiative is being introduced to the Minnesota School of Business-Elk River campus for the fall quarter, which began on Monday, Oct. 7. Educational User Experience is an innovative and technologically focused, adaptive learning model that will transform how students learn.
On distribution day, ecstatic staff and faculty members greeted students, ready to launch their new journey with Educational User Experience and the release of the iPad. Students sipped hot cider and enjoyed fall-themed snacks as faculty members helped students set up their iPad and learn how to operate the tools and resources available on their new learning devices. Students who attended were also eligible for various drawings to win prizes, such as keyboards, ear buds and other great iPad accessories.
The Elk River campus will continue to train and educate students on the many resources and functions available on their new iPad by holding “Appy Hours” throughout each quarter. These training sessions will provide students with the opportunity to maximize the potential of their new learning devices and ensure that the Educational User Experience initiative is successful for students now and in the future.
