Meet our Faculty Member of the Quarter – Kris Huether, JD, MBA

Meet Minnesota School of Business-Richfield’s Faculty Member of the Quarter, Kris Huether. Kris has been teaching various business and paralegal courses at MSB since 2010. She also tutors in the Resource Center in both math and writing.

Minnesota School of BusinessA little bit about her background:

  • She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas, where she majored in Business Administration and Marketing with minors in French and English. She received her MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and her JD from Hamline University School of Law.
  • She has used both her MBA and her JD in the field, from working in sales and marketing in the financial services industry to working full time in civil litigation for a law firm. She focused on construction law, contract law, tort law, and insurance law, and has litigated various civil cases in court, arbitration and mediation. She has extensive practice in legal research and writing motions, appeals, and other legal documents.
  • She is presently a licensed attorney in Minnesota and was nominated to Minnesota’s Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” of the legal profession.
  • Her favorite class to teach is Legal Research and Legal Writing.

“I appreciate MSB students’ thirst for knowledge. I relish when a new concept ‘clicks’ with students and they understand the concept,” Kris said.

Not only does she assist the students in both writing and math, she does it with a combination of grace, ease, and authority that I find incredible.”

“Kris is always willing to go the extra mile for her students. She truly loves teaching, and that shows in her precise method and extreme attention to detail. She is always organized and reliable and students respond to this professionalism.”

“Kris is not only a dedicated and engaging teacher, but she also provides incredible support and encouragement to students in the Resource Center. She does a nice job of offering feedback while helping the students learn and build their confidence. She is positive, professional, and gets involved as an adjunct faculty member.”
