With winter quarter finals week quickly approaching, many students at Minnesota School of Business-Shakopee have been utilizing the Resource Center on campus and the knowledgeable student tutors in order to refresh course materials, discuss final project ideas and seek guidance with writing papers.
The Resource Center is up and running year-round and is staffed by five student tutors, who specialize in a variety of disciplines. Tutors are readily available to assist with the areas of accounting, math, vet tech and writing. Additional areas of study are available upon request to Beena Koshy, senior staff advisor at the Resource Center.
As part of Minnesota School of Business’s dedication to assisting with all students’ success, the Resource Center is just one of the many resources offered while students are attending classes. Tutors are able to help with:
- Class material review
- Paper proofreading
- Project idea brainstorming
- Practice problems
In addition to specific program-related support, the Resource Center also assists with the use of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
“The Resource Center is available to all students who regularly attend class and is not only for those who are struggling with their class material. The tutors offer an opportunity for students to seek out additional help or to simply hone their skills,” Beena said.
