Welcome to Fall quarter!
Fall is a great quarter because it marks change—out with the old and in with the new. While saying goodbye to summer is bittersweet, there are a lot of great things about fall besides just the fantastic colors. For many of us, it means going back to school—for our kids and for us! There are several exciting things going on at the Brooklyn Center Campus this quarter. Next Tuesday, 10/16, at 10:15, we will be having a breakfast bar in the student lounge for student appreciation. Be sure to stop by and refuel for the day. The following week, on 10/23, we will be holding a “Health Care Need-to-Know” community discussion at 6:30. Health care continues to be a hot topic in debates and with the upcoming elections in November, it will be important to stay as informed as possible. Please join us and bring any friends or family who might be interested!
Some other important dates to consider—this week is add/drop week. If you need to make any schedule changes, please do so by the end of this week. Remember, you must attend all your classes this week to keep them on your schedule. Billing begins next week, and any classes not attended this week will be removed to ensure you are not charged for classes you do not intend to take. Late schedule changes will also affect book purchasing. As we have moved to MBS Direct this quarter, changing your schedule later will mean a delay in receiving your books.
This week can be very hectic, so be sure to check your student email frequently and check your voicemail. We will always try to call you for any important issues, but we will email if we cannot reach you via phone. If you know you will be absent, please call the front desk at 763.566.7777 and contact your instructor!
Have a great first start week!
