Minnesota School of Business & Globe University have announced that the Moorhead, Minn. campus will change its name from Minnesota School of Business to Globe University in January of 2013. Under the new name, the school will continue to deliver the same quality education to its students. Ownership, staff and curriculums will remain unchanged.
The Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead campus is part of a premier, family-managed system of career colleges, universities and training center based in Woodbury, Minn. The Moorhead campus currently has programs in massage therapy, veterinary technology, medical assisting, paralegal, information technology, accounting, and business. The name change showcases the school’s expanding breadth of programs and opens the doors to a more global education and expanded degree options both in the classroom and online.
“We feel that the names of our schools should reflect who are as an education network,” said Jeanne Hermann, chief operations officers for Globe University, Minnesota School of Business and affiliates. “The Moorhead campus
name change will give students and faculty a sense of global community that we have become and more appropriately represents the range of programs and degree options available to meet the needs of our students and the ever-changing job market.”
According to the Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead campus director, Erik Engberg, “With more than 20 programs at our Moorhead campus, the Globe University name will lift boundaries of the business school name and expand opportunities for current and future programs openings. We want to show our current and potential students that they are part of something bigger and their opportunities are endless.”
The unveiling of the new Globe University name and campus open house will take place during the first week of classes in January 2013.
