The Minnesota School of Business-Plymouth (MSB) veterinary technology program and the Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America (SCNAVTA) hosted the fourth installment of the junior veterinary day class in conjunction with the Plymouth Parks and Recreation department recently.

Local youth had the chance to learn more about animals and the day-to-day tasks and duties of in the veterinary world from the MSB SCNAVTA club, instructors and Willow Wiggins’ Introduction to Veterinary Technology students.

Students ranging from age 9 to 12 learned about proper animal approach and animal behavior cues before taking part in hands-on activities that included heart monitoring, eye examination, x-ray evaluation, teeth cleaning and microscope examinations.
