Members of the Chamber of Commerce celebrate the grand opening of Prairie Winds Veterinary Center.

Students, staff, and faculty from Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead recently celebrated the grand opening of Prairie Winds Veterinary Center in Fargo. Former campus resident veterinarian, Dr. Alicia Wisnewski, is the owner and operator of the clinic and hired two graduates from the MSB veterinary technology program.

Dr. Alicia Wisnewski along with Minnesota School of Business graduates Tina Paintner cut the ribbon to officially open Prairie Winds Veterinary Center.

Jen McTighe and Tina Paintner were both hired as vet techs at the new center and are enjoying their new careers.

“This has been such an exciting couple of weeks,” McTighe said. “I feel I have been prepared for this job and I am ready for it.”

The Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce Communications held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the event, led by community relations specialist Brian Shawn.

“Having this kind of support for our grand opening is so incredible,” Wisnewski added. “We are proud to hire MSB graduates because we know they are well trained.”

Prairie Winds Veterinary Center already has 100 clients and continues to add more every day.
