“Imagine your first day of school without the supplies you need. Now is your chance to make a difference,” according to Stephanie O’Malley, Medical Assistant instructor at the Minnesota School of Business, Blaine campus.

Join the Medical Assistant student group as they welcome a guest speaker from Alexandra House to campus on August 22, which will kick off a fundraiser for the organization. The presentation will be held in Room 303 from 5-5:45 p.m., and will give information about Alexandra House and domestic violence.

Starting August 20 until August 31, Medical Assistant students will be collecting school supplies, general toiletries, and cash donations for the Alexandra House. Boxes for donations will be at the front desk. As an extra bonus, for each item donated, your name will be entered into a drawing for MSB apparel! Items will go to support Alexandra House clients.

The Alexandra House is a local non-profit organization that offers services to victims of domestic and sexual violence including emergency shelter, legal and hospital-based advocacy, support, a 24-hour crisis line, economic assistance, safety planning, housing resources, support and information groups, and more.
