Massage Students Take Talents To Tonka

Posted by on August 7, 2012

Minnesota School of Business-Plymouth students in Teasha Elder’s Sports Massage class got some hands-on experience at the wildly successful Tour De Tonka Bike Ride recently.

Rebecca Hadlock, David Steffl and Susan Worden combined for 12 hours of volunteer work at the event, providing chair massages, sport-specific massages and additional stretching to the over 2,700 participants in the ride.

The students combined to give over 50 massages in the short time frame, honing their skills and also getting the opportunity to network with other chiropractors and therapists that were in attendance.

The Tour De Tonka is annual ride featuring distances of 16, 26, 43, 77 and 100 miles, and is ran by the Minnetonka Community Education Department.
