FEW WILL PAY MORE TAXES FOR HEALTH INSURANCE UNDER THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

Posted by on July 17, 2012

According to a report filed in USA TODAY by Kelly Kennedy and Richard Wolf, an analysis of federal data shows only a small percentage of Americans will pay more taxes under the Affordable Care Act. In fact, fefwer than 10% of the nation’s 140 million tax filers are likely to pay more.  The law’s impact on middle-income taxpayers “is on average
going to be relatively small,” says Donald Marron, director of the non-partisan
Tax Policy Center. “The bulk of the taxes are aimed at corporations and high-income
folks.”
