Minnesota School of Business Staff Helps Out at United Way ‘Gobble It Up’ Lunch

(L to R) Kristi Leverson, Angelique Goulet, Nicole Wischnak, Carissa Erickson, Erica Ziegler, Jared Bledsoe, and Steve Daniels all volunteered at the United Way 'Gobble It Up' Lunch.

Once a year, the United Way and Hornbacher’s stores team up for the ‘Gobble It Up’ lunch to raise money. The $5.00 meal includes a turkey sandwich, chips, ice cream, and a drink with all proceeds to benefit the United Way.

For this event to be successful, volunteers are necessary at all six Hornbacher’s locations in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead was proud to help support the event, with eight staff members volunteering to serve meals, greet patrons, and hand out drinks.

Over $20,000 is raised annually from this event with all food donated by Hornbacher’s stores.

“We had so much fun helping out with this event,” said service-learning coordinator Kristi Leverson. “The United Way provides a lot of services and help to those in the community so it’s nice to help support them.”

The entire admissions team was also in attendance including Angelique Goulet, Nichole Wischnak, Carissa Erickson, Erica Ziegler, Jared Bledsoe, and Steve Daniels.

This community outreach exemplifies the Minnesota School of Business ‘We Care’ philosophy.
