Go Commando Participants competed in several obstacle courses, and finished in a mud bath!

Several Criminal Justice and Veterinary Technology students from Minnesota School of Business in Blaine competed in the Go Commando 5K on June 9. This event benefits Team Ortho, a foundation that helps children with cancer.  Participants climbed, crawled, jumped, and ran through 15 obstacles and ended in a muddy mess. According to Laura Talvitie, Criminal Justice Program Chair, it was a fabulous time for a great cause!

The Criminal Justice Club will resume meetings the week of July 16th. Their first event will be a tour of the MN Department of Corrections, Shakopee Women’s Prison in early August.  Later that month, on August 22, they will host an event on campus.  The group will also be teaming up with MSB St. Cloud Criminal Justice students for a Safe Driving event on August 30, which may involve “intoxication goggles,” golf carts, and a driving course. They are looking for agencies and professionals to participate in the events. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please contact Laura Talvitie, Criminal Justice Program Chair at
