On Wednesday, May 2, the Career Services Department at the Brooklyn Center Campus hosted a blood drive with Memorial Blood Centers. The mobile unit was parked outside the building from 12p-4p for staff and students to stop by and donate.
As with all blood drives, some individuals are able to donate, and some are deferred for various reasons. Sixteen people qualified during this drive, which means that sixteen units were collected.
Andrew Kagol, Associate Director of Career Services said, “It was a great opportunity to help someone in need. Knowing that in less than one hour I was able to help three other people was all the motivation I needed to donate. The Memorial Blood Center staff were a lot of fun to work with, and they made the process easy and painless. I’m already looking forward to the next blood drive on campus in a few months.”
