Law Day 2012 Essay Contest — Win a $50 Visa Gift Card!

To celebrate Law Day 2012, we will be hosting an essay contest. All Lakeville campus students are welcome to submit essays for the contest. Essays should be written with the 2012 Law Day theme in mind. This year’s theme is “No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom.” Submitted essays should be a minimum of 250 words and must include appropriate citations. Essays will be judged by a panel that includes faculty members and administrators.

Established by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1958, Law Day is recognized annually on May 1 as Americans celebrate our nation’s legal traditions and commitment to the rule of law. The celebration takes place in schools, courthouses, and workplaces in communities across the nation. In fact, in some communities, Law Day becomes Law Week or Law Month. See W.
