Medical Assisting, Massage Among Year’s Best Jobs In Healthcare

A recent article in U.S. News and World Report ranked the fields of massage therapy and medical assisting as two of the top eight jobs in healthcare for 2012.

The medical assistant profession was ranked as the third best job in healthcare, while massage therapy logged the eighth spot on the list.

Job outlooks are bright in both fields, as the medical assistant* field projects employment growth of 30.9 percent between  2010 and 2020, with the field adding 162,900 more jobs.

On the massage therapy* front, employment growth is projected at 20.1 percent between 2010 and 2020, along with the addition 30,900 more professionals to the 153,700 jobs currently in the field.
