Community Matters

At Minnesota School of Business-St. Cloud, we take the mission of WE CARE to heart. And evidence of that caring is never more striking than at the beginning of a new quarter as we plan our calendar of events.

St. Cloud Community Service Day 2011 at Habitat for Humanity's ReStore

We start off the spring quarter by inviting community partners onto campus to participate in a Volunteer Fair. Open to the public, it gives our students and community members the opportunity to meet representatives of a variety of community organizations and to learn of the volunteer and service experiences available to them. As a bonus, it is a wonderful way to add to the resume!

A series of We Care events follows, including staff planting a tree in honor of Arbor Day and our second annual team for the Relay for Life in central Minnesota to benefit the American Cancer Society.

We have three events to include our active military students and community veterans: participation in Stand Down and Armed Forces Day, both at the St. Cloud Armory, and later in May we host a Warrior Resource Day on campus.

We are especially proud of faculty and staff participating in Community Service Day this year in activities at Good Shepherd and with the city of St. Cloud, as well as a MSB Gives Back Day which will invite the public onto campus for a series of professional workshops.

Our annual Open House will also be sponsored on campus in June.

Students will be contributing to community efforts with a blood drive in partnership with the Red Cross and a bike rodeo in cooperation with the City of Watie Park.

It promises to be a busy, collaborative spring at MSB!
