Graduation Pianist and Vet Tech Student…One in the Same!

Posted by on March 28, 2012

Allison Burnham moonlights as graduation pianist.

AllisonBurnham  is a very active student here on campus. You have probably seen her around campus in maroon scrubs, rushing from one Veterinary Technology class to another. You may have seen her at bake sales for SCNAVTA, of which she is president.  However, you may have been surprised to see her behind the baby grand piano at Winter 2012 graduation ceremonies.
When MSB-Shakopee’s regular graduation pianist was unable to perform, Allison stepped up and re-learned “Pomp and Circumstance,” the traditional graduation processional and recessional, so she could play for the graduates and audience.

Allsion Burnham has been playing piano for years.  She holds an Associate of Arts, and an Associate of Fine Arts from Normandale Community College, with a  teaching certificate emphasis of piano. Between private lessons and teaching part-time for the Bloomington School District, Allison shares her talent and skills with 40 students on a monthly basis.
