Charles Feige, Paralegal Program Chair, supports the Minnesota State Bar Association Mock Trial Program by serving as a judge at this year’s invitational scrimmage held at the Glencoe courthouse, Glencoe, MN.
According to www.mnbar.org/mocktrial/ “The Minnesota High School Mock Trial Program is an exciting law-related education program that introduces students to the American legal system and provides a challenging opportunity for personal growth and achievement. As part of the mock trial program, students will exercise their critical thinking and teamwork skills, as well as the basic skills learned in the classroom.”
Breck’s (http://www.breckschool.org/) Mock Trial team took first place in this region, and they will be competing at the Regional State Competition in Mankato. “The level of talent was extremely good,” said Feige. “The students were well prepared, articulate and very professional.”
Winners from that mock trial competition will continue on to the national tournament in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
