MSB-St. Cloud Massage Students Assist 360 Chriropractic and Anna Marie’s Alliance

It takes a community. Putting a twist on the proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” MSB massage students joined a local business, 360 Chiropractic, to raise funds for Anna Marie’s Alliance, a local battered women’s shelter.

360 Chiropractic: Natural Solutions to Improved Health

Hosted by 360 Chiropractic, staff and students gave free chair massages and adjustments to clients who made a donation to Anna Marie’s. Nicole West and students from her Swedish and deep tissue classes participated.

Enlarging the circle of community, however, were 360 staff who also were MSB alumni. Both Lindsey Cole and Heather Hartneck are graduates from the massage program who are current employees at 360 and participated in the fundraiser.

The idea of learning, sharing and healing came full circle in this event.

As Anna Marie’s  Excecutive Director Maxine Barnett reflects in this month’s message: “It never ceases to amaze me how our community comes together to support the nonprofit sector. Despite the economic difficulties of the time, generous donors recognize and support community needs in a variety of ways. ”

College students, business professionals and everyday clients proved her words true.

Anna Marie's Alliance: dedicated to providing safe shelter, support, and referral services for battered women and their children.
