Many questions arise on mornings when bad weather asserts itself (like most of a Minnesota winter!)
In the event of the MSB-St. Cloud campus closing, check in on Facebook for up-to-date postings, or listen to any of the local radio stations including KCLD, WJON or the LOON.
Kari Sullivan, one of our Administrative Assitants on campus, has also provided a good way to stay updated on travel conditions. It is the MnDOT website where you can check a map of road conditions. http://www.dot.state.mn.us
Kari tells us: “It will show you how good or bad things look, accidents, roadwork, etc.”
She also has tips for its navigation:
When you click on this website, click on the blue box at the top on the right hand side that says “Statewide Travel Information.” On the next page you will have about four different options. Click on the one that says, “full feature.” The map will download to show you travel conditions in Minnesota, so you can try to plan
ahead if you need to give yourself extra time to go to and from work,
especially if you live some distance away from Waite Park.
Kari adds, “It’s very user friendly, a box on the left hand side shows you what all the colors
and symbols mean.”
Be prepared for winter weather ahead!
