Dianna Lydick, CVT, at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, MN, was guest lecturer in VT 222. She provided hands-on instruction for bird and reptile handling and restraint. She has 15+ years experience working as a Veterinary Technician in zoo settings and has spent the last two years at the MN Zoo. Students brought animals for Dianna to demonstrate restraint, venipuncture, general maintenance and husbandry discussions. She also answered questions about zoo medicine and career opportunities in the filed.
