The Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead held its 2nd Annual Community Dinner at The Avalon in downtown Fargo to honor all the individuals and organizations that has partnered with the campus on various projects throughout the year. Twenty-Five partners joined the staff and faculty to celebrate all the accomplishments from 2011 and enjoyed a social hour, dinner, and awards presentation.
After dinner, Program Chairs awarded their specific partners for 2011.
Business – Karen Witzel, Spherion Staffing
Paralegal – Anne Hoergren, Northwestern Minnesota Legal Services
Medical Assisting – Melissa Erdmann, Stellar Healthcare
Massage Therapy– Christ Docktor, Venture Chiropractic
Veterinary Technology – Ericka Stoltenberg, Ottertail County Humane Society
Service-Learning – Amber Dahl, YWCA and Ruth Hagel, Ronald McDonald House
Several other organizations were represented at the event, as well, including Veterans Upward Bound, Emergency Food Pantry, Prairie St. John’s, Habitat for Humanity, Red River Zoo, Casselton Veterinary Service, Project HERO, Snap Fitness, Northwestern Mutual Insurance, First Link, The Arc West Central, and Kreps Chiropractic.
“It was a great event and I enjoyed learning more about how your different programs have partnered with others in the community,” says Witzel. “Looking forward to working together more in 2012!”
The attendance at the event was twice as large as it was in 2010.
“This was a great night for all of us to thank all those people and organizations that help our students,” says Campus Director Erik Engberg. “We hope to build this event more and more.”
