The MSB-Plymouth massage therapy program turned its annual awareness week into a huge gain for a local nonprofit organization. Students and staff raised nearly $1,200 for the Community Health Foundation of Wright County through various events last month. The money will go towards a residential hospice house in Buffalo, Minn.
Massage therapy students raised funds during massage therapy awareness week. Students gave chair massages and slots in the always popular student massage clinics were reserved with a donation to the fund.
The hospice facility, which is being built in partnership with the CHF and Elim Care, is set to break ground in April 2012. The project is the foundations largest to date, and will mark the first residential hospice house in Wright County.
