‘Tis The Season: to Show WE CARE!

Posted by on November 28, 2011

The MSB-St. Cloud campus has had an active quarter exercising the Minnesota School of Business mission of WE CARE. Most recently, staff and faculty raised donations through a jeans week on campus and collected items to be sent in WE CARE packages to our military students currently deployed overseas.

Community Relations Coordinator Tami DeLand and Academic Assistant Michelle Schreifels package WE CARE boxes.

Holiday candy, jerky, tuna, hygiene items and Girl Scout cookies (thank you, Admissions department!) were shipped prior to Thanksgiving to ensure the care packages would be received in time for the Christmas holiday season.

Meanwhile, staff prepared for the upcoming downtown Winter Nights and Lights Parade by decorating a St. Cloud storefront along the parade route. The window theme is “Santa’s Sweet on MSB,” and the window includes a sleigh–complete with Rudolph–sugar plums hanging from the sky and wrapped gifts. Jennifer May, Eric Hanson, Michelle Schreifels, Dani Peterson (with baby-to-be!) and Tami DeLand employed their decorating skills to inspire the community in an evening of fun.

Eric Hanson and Michelle Schreifels design Rudolph for the window display.

Dani Peterson dresses a window for the Winter Nights and Lights Parade.
