David’s Did You Know Column

Posted by on November 21, 2011

Did you know every educational institution that provides government funding for its students must ensure that its students are meeting academic guidelines before disbursing those funds?

This guideline is known as Satisfactory Academic Progress or commonly referred to as SAP.  Each quarter the Education Department looks at each student’s record for completion rate and GPA.  If a student fails to meet the minimum standards required by this policy, the financial aid department is required to cancel that student’s Federal and State financial aid awards.   So keep getting good grades and finish the classes you started!
