Plymouth Medical Assistant Students Present on Infection Prevention

Students from Jody Stenzel’s Urinalysis and Microbiology class presented to Minnesota School of Business-Plymouth staff and students on how infections are transmitted as part of the class’ service-learning project.

Students distributed pamphlets and gave demonstrations on proper hand washing techniques and other prevention techniques. The class collected samples from common household carriers including, showers, sinks, carpet and bathrooms to show where germs are most prevalent and susceptible to infection.
