This quarter, MSB-St. Cloud service learning students have been keeping residents at the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids good company. They have organized travelogues to Hawaii and Las Vegas, planned a Hot Rod car show (on Friday, September 9th) and tomorrow, September 7th from 2 – 6 PM, medical students will be hosting an Art and Health Fair.
The booths include: Let’s go Hunting, Nutrition and Alzheimer’s, We are People Too, large canvas/community painting, Personal Health and Hygiene, Blood Pressure, Sweet Treats- A Healthier Alternative, Volleyball, Sun Catchers, and Ladder Ball.
This group includes students from both CMA Review sections, Intro to Clinical Skills, and Patient Care I. Students were required to research the activities to ensure that they were appropriate for this organization and write up business proposals which were presented to Good Shepherd.
