Five Questions With Plymouth Alum Brooke Kranz

Brooke Kranz comes from a family of nurses. The Spring 2011 grad kept her family tradition of working in the medical field alive, as she currently is working at South Lake Pediatrics in Maple Grove. Kranz recently sat down and chatted about her experience at MSB and her current position as a medical assistant.

Why did you choose MSB?
BK: “I chose MSB because of it’s location and program choices.”

How did MSB prepare you for your current position?
BK: “Every single core class I took prepared me for my current position.”

What do you love about your job?
BK: “I love everything about my job, especially being able to help patients feel better when they are scared. I enjoy the doctors and staff I work with also!”

Why did you want to work in the medical field?
BK: “I am from a family of nurses, so it is just in my blood. I have always enjoyed helping people!”

What advice do you have for (A) students considering the medical assistant program and (B) graduating and getting ready to look for a job?
BK: : “(A) It’s a lot of work, but so worth it! (B) Send out lots of resumes, take your certification test and relax!
