Michelle Schreifels Gets Dunked

MSB-St. Cloud hosted a successful Open House yesterday with 300 students and invited guests in attendance. Eric Hanson, Associate Director of Financial Aid (and Grill-Master Extraordinairre,) barbequed the burgers and dogs again this year with Campus Director Jim Beck heading up the serving line. KCLD broadcasted live from the parking lot; department chairs delivered workshops on everything from accounting to reflexology to Zumba; and students competed for valuable prizes like WE-Fest tickets, golf passes and Summerland passes.

Director of Admissions Kim Plombon remarked,  “It was just great to see all of the students, staff and faculty be able to get together to celebrate the hard work and effort each student has put forth . . . and to take time out of their day to have a little fun!”

Student Services Coordinator Shawn Kremer said that the favorite part of the day each year is the Dunk Tank. “Students are able to vote all week long for the faculty or staff person they most want to see get wet. The staff are good sports because all proceeds go toward the student associations on campus. ”

This year’s top vote getter was Criminal Justice Chair Sammie Braswell, followed by Admissions Representative, Kelsie Ludvigson; Our Friendly Neighborhood Librarian, Neil Vig–in a Jason mask; Career Services Coordinator, Jessica Mergen Ward; and Academic Assistant, Michelle Schreifels.

Next year there’s a chant going up for a MSB’s Got Talent show . . .  stay tuned!
