MSB-Moorhead Flag Dedication Draws a Crowd

Posted by on August 4, 2011

The Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead held a dedication for it’s new flag pole on campus with over 120 community members in attendance. The Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, along with members of the Moorhead Business Association, and City officials were on hand for the event.

Chamber Ambassadors, City Officials, Veterans, and Campus Director Erik Engberg cut the ribbon on the new flag pole

Speakers included City Council Member Nancy Otto, ‘Beyond the Yellow Ribbon’ committee member Mike Hunt, Campus Director Erik Engberg, and military student Ray Pizarro. Moorhead Legion Post #21 and the VFW presented the colors for the event. A special thanks to WDAY-TV 6 for covering the ceremony as well.

“Thank you so much for the invitation to attend the flag pole ceremony yesterday. It also gave me an opportunity to visit with Mike Hughes, of Globe University and introduce some of the other veteran support system people that I work with.  It was a wonderful experience,” says Jeri Vaudrin, Program Director of Veterans Upward Bound.

A light was installed just underneath the pole, so the flag will be up 24-hours a day.
