Earlier today Director of Career Services, Sara Shore announced that Lori Brandt (pictured left), Associate Director of Career Services last day at MSB-Richfield will be August 11th.
Below is an email written to staff and faculty:
I hope the Early Fall quarter is off to a great start for all! With this new quarter start brings some changes in the Career Services Department. First, our ADOCS, Lori Brandt, had a perfect baby boy in May, and she has decided to stay at home to enjoy one of the most important careers to exist: motherhood! Lori’s last day will be August 11. Lori started her MSB journey as a Career Services Coordinator in Oct. 2008 and was promoted into the ADOCS role one year later. Using her strong skills from MBA studies combined with her HR background, Lori played an integral part in helping students prepare for job interviews, and these techniques are skills that students will have for life. Thank you Lori for making a positive difference to so many people!
Next, I am very pleased to announce that Melody Maxted-Wittry (pictured left) has been promoted to the ADOCS role. Her passion for higher education and dedication to assist students and graduates has been apparent since day 1. Melody served on a PD 250 Career Development committee to revamp the class, which she also instructs every Friday morning. We are fortunate to have her energy at the Richfield campus!
With the movement in the Career Services Department, a new opening exists for a Career Services Coordinator. The position is posted on SharePoint. However, you know I love referrals (that’s how we found Sam!).
It’s with great sadness that we say farewell to Lori, but we wish her nothing but the best! And a big congratulations to Melody on her new position!
